Today, I want to talk about chakras. This is a topic that I have been hearing about, learning about, and knowing about probably for the last 30 years.

It’s one of the first things that I heard people talking about in the realm of energy work, healing, and personal development. Chakras and the explanation of chakras comes from the Yogic system of energy work and understanding energy flow. Simply put, chakras are spinning vortexes of energy that exist all throughout the body to bring information in and they can send information out.

Chakras are ascribed different meanings, different colors, different vibrations, different musical notes, different ways that they explain energy. And a lot of times when people are doing healing work, they feel that they need to understand the movement of the chakras and the messages of the chakras in order to fully help somebody heal.

I see that people can get pretty caught up in that. And people think that they can’t do healing work if they don’t understand the chakras. Well, I’m here to tell you that that is a myth. It’s an absolute myth.

You can do healing work, you can help other people to heal, you can move energy effectively and efficiently without ever knowing or understanding what a chakra is.

That is essentially important.

If you’re into chakras, great, do it, do it up. If you’re not into chakras, you don’t need to be into chakras.

Meditation, different spiritual practices and healing modalities don’t require that you understand the chakras. An easy way to understand what I’m saying, after studying chakras for years and teaching about chakras for years is, in the Japanese healing art system, they don’t work with chakras. They don’t talk about chakras, they don’t see chakras, they don’t explain chakras. Chakras are not part of the system. They work with energy flow and they work with meridians.

If people in Asian practices in Japanese healing arts are effectively and efficiently working with energy without ever mentioning chakras, then what does that tell us? That tells us that understanding and translating chakras are only one way to work with energy and you don’t need to work with energy in all the ways. There are many different ways to understand energy, to translate it, to view it and to heal.

So I hope that’s helpful. I know that there’s a lot of pressure for people in the New Age spiritual circles to understand all about the chakras. And I want you to know if you’re not drawn to them and don’t feel a natural pull toward them, there’s nothing wrong with you. You don’t need to fix or change anything. You need to go with your natural flow and follow your intuition and your guide.

All right, that’s a little bit about chakra’s explained. I hope this is helpful. If you’re somebody who works with chakras or has a different point of view, please share with me. I’d love to hear it. You can drop a comment below.

Bye for now,
