As we move steadily into cooler weather, I am thinking it’s a perfect time to take advantage of the stillness that accompanies the falling leaves. We aren’t often still. As a matter of fact, we seem to be programmed against stillness. A few weeks ago, I talked about slowing things down. Right now, I am going to share with you something you can do, in a few seconds of stillness, that will stop you in your tracks, and allow something different to occur. Maybe you are looking for an answer, or to shift out of crappy thinking. Or, maybe you just need to clear a little heaviness out of your chest.
- Stop what you are doing.
- Take a decent breath in.
- Look up.
- Extend your arms out beside you.
- Face your palms up.
- Honor that which you hold sacred.
- Honor that which is bigger than you.
For me, it sounds something like this,
“I honor all my guides and allies, spirit helpers and ancestors. The ones I know and the ones yet to be known. Thank you for moving through me. Thank you for shining the light so I can help others shine theirs. I am grateful.”
